Here Lately...

Lots has gone on since my last post, in oh...February. However, we will skip the majority of it! :) Well, I might post a picture or two...

We were so excited about the Easter Bunny coming!
E.B. had to stop by our house early since he was extra busy this year.
It worked out for us, since we were going to Tupelo Easter weekend anyway. :)

We had our first zoo trip.

I'm pretty sure we might skip the whole crawling thing. He'll roll around and scoot. But, he's started pulling himself up. We had to lower his crib, which was a sad day. My baby is too big! I was taken back to this time last year when we were putting the crib together.

Bennett now loves to feed himself. He only has one tooth though, so it's awfully challenging to find foods that don't have to be chewed. We've tired out bananas. We've tired out tofu. We're about done with mangoes. We're working on meatballs. And he always loves some cheese, but we all know that doesn't work out well if you eat it all the time. :) We also skipped the sippy cup, but love some straws.

I think his lonesome tooth might be getting some company soon because after being a model sleeping baby, we're going on night 2 of irritability and crying.

On happier notes, Bennett was dedicated last week. It was a great time. My parents came, and I was so proud my dad got out of the house and got to see it!

But Bennett was such a sweet baby during the whole thing. He was super excited his Aunts Amy and Kelly came. He really loves them. He's looking at them in this picture.
(P.S. I love this face, it makes my heart melt. It also means he's about to laugh.)

This was the verse Kirk and I chose for him. I'd found it last year around this time (when it was really setting in that we were having a baby). It's what I want most for him out of his life. He can be a doctor, pro football player, missionary, or janitor - as long as he is putting his best self forward, I will be proud.
But I never want him to forget what the purpose is behind his doing whatever it is - to glorify God.
